maggsmaggs
If true, in Omo's last 21.2 innings, he's given up 15 hits, and a 29/1 K/BB ratio. Edited June 29, 2012 by maggsmaggs

cabiness42
Either (A) Crain is going on DL or (B) Humber will be back to take what would be Axelrod's next start, so they are just getting an extra reliever for 4 games since neither Humber nor Axelrod can pitch during that time. Dick Allen
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 12:32 PM) Either (A) Crain is going on DL or (B) Humber will be back to take what would be Axelrod's next start, so they are just getting an extra reliever for 4 games since neither Humber nor Axelrod can pitch during that time. I think Crain is going on the DL.
elrockinMT
This is unconfirmed at this point. I see no mention of it other than those twitter messages listed here. Crain could be the issue though. Soreness, but got a doc to clear him last night to play. Sox might want to be careful though with him Edited June 29, 2012 by elrockinMT
cabiness42
I think Crain is going on the DL. And if that's the case, then why aren't they calling up Dan Johnson?

Balta1701
Hypothetically if Crain hits the DL, this is the current white sox pitching staff: Reed ® Santiago ® OmoGrosso ® Jones ® Thornton Bruney Septimo ® That's 5 in the bullpen with the ®, and the rotation Sale (not a qualified R any more but first year as a starter) Axelrod ® Quintana ® Floyd Peavy 7 rookies out of a 12 man pitching staff, and then Sale thrown in for good measure. cabiness42
Without taking time to look it up and crunch all the numbers, it looks as though Peavy and Floyd may have more career IP than the other 10 combined.

maggsmaggs
Blessing in disguise. We know Bruney is not a Major League-caliber pitcher from his past. Maybe Omogrosso is. He has been dealing in AAA and perhaps, most importantly, has great stuff but doesn't walk batter.
