The Sox are really one SP away from being a force.

They need to get the best SP out there that they can get for Mitchell.

Whoever they get might not be much, but he would be an improvement.

Liriano anyone?

Greinke is your man.

If the Sox got Greinke, the Sox might win the WS.

It would take 3-4 GOOD prospects I bet with no guarantee he re-signs.

Don't have the system for that type of deal.

All we need is someone good enough to replace Humber/Axelrod. I'll take my chances with Sale and Peavy in the playoffs.

Cole Hamels may come cheaper. But I don't see either of them happening.

Maybe someone like Joe Blanton would be a lot more possible. That 4.85 is scary, but his 89 K to 15 K is very, very good. Just needs to limit those HR balls, but yeah, US Cellular isn't the best place to try and throw less HRs.

Or, you know, a healthy John Danks could help.

While he is striking out twice as much as last year, he is still only at 12.5%, which is least 3rd least of all qualified catchers.

Given his power numbers this year, that's more than acceptable

I can't watch the game, because I'm in Central Iowa and don't have CSN and ESPN gets blacked out, but it sounds like Youk has been more than adequate at 3B for us so far.

I'd say so. He just made another fantastic defensive play.

You can't get it on ESPN 3?

Why are you counting on it?

Vague shoulder injuries + non-specific recovery timelines = not good.

I'm not sure I'm counting on it, but it's the route I think we take.
