thxfrthmmrs
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 6, 2012 -> 09:49 PM) His batting average may suck, but isn't his on base percentage way better than AJ's? He's been so productive with HRs and Ribbies I think he's a more valuable hitter than AJP. AJP has the higher OPS. Dunn might have the higher OBP, but he also struck out 100 times more than AJ. When it's all said and done, strikeouts are unproductive and will not move the runners along. And also AJ is actually providing good defense behind the plate and doing a great job of handling the staff. So yes, at this point, AJ has been a more valuable player to the team than Dunn. Hands down.

ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 6, 2012 -> 10:52 PM) Dunn will strike out in the Home run Derby. Dunn didn't get picked for the HR Derby.
Jake
This team is not in first place without Adam Dunn.
RZZZA
The pitching and fielding on this team is so awesome! How does it all come together like this? It amazes me. Even the rookies who nobody expected anything out of are coming up and pitching beautifully. When things come together like this you can only say...championship? It amazes me. Even the rookies who nobody expected anything out of are coming up and pitching beautifully. When things come together like this you can only say...championship? Hold on. We still have to get Sale, Quintana and Peavy through August and September. We still have to get another starter and probably one more piece for the bullpen. That bullpen is doing fine for now, but they're all ntested in the heat of a pennant race. Who knows, that might actually work in their favor, but not counting on it.
