Dick Allen
QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 08:07 PM) Both pitchers can make it, but neither can make a bad pitch to power hitters with 2 men on base. One of them has done it twice in 4 innings, the other has hardly done it. I will not be voting for Pedro.

The Ginger Kid
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 06:04 PM) Hernandez wasn't very impressive and should go back to Charlotte tonight, but not exactly the easiest way to break in. You still have to show you belong and he didn't step up. Is it cool if we start a Pedro Hernandez appreciation thread?

fathom
QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 01:57 AM) He will. He's not that bad guys, let's not get crazy. He may be a very valuable back of the rotation arm for us at some point. I've yet to see you say any player doesn't have a chance to be a contributor. The Ginger Kid
I'm glad I don't play a game where I drink every time Tyler Flowers gets a hit. I'd be Mormon.

fathom
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 03:09 AM) Tigers winning. Today was definitely one of those days I would have been content with Sox losing as well as Tigers lost. Gotta find a way to win tomorrow or have the struggling Jerome Williams find a way to beat the Tigers and go into the weekend series at least up 2.5 games. Caesar
QUOTE (Caesar @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 07:39 PM) I have a feeling we are done scoring tonight. Wish I wouldve been wrong. Offense gave up after the first. At least Dallas was good tonight.

Gotta find a way to win tomorrow or have the struggling Jerome Williams find a way to beat the Tigers and go into the weekend series at least up 2.5 games. I didn't think the Sox had a chance. You can't expect having success with all of the minor league pitchers. It would be nice if it were that way.
greg775
QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 01:03 AM) Jose Quintana will more than likely unravel very soon. I saw him in the Padres organization. This guy is nothing that we dont already have in the minors. He definitely had nothing during the game I went to Friday in KC. Hope he bounces back. Before that he'd been outstanding. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 02:02 AM) I've missed a few games, but when's the last time Beckham pulled a ball? I enjoyed reading the rip of Beckham in the Trib today about the big hole in his swing. He's been around long enough that it's time to start emerging as a better prospect than Chris Getz. I mean if he's a defensive specialist that sox never expect to hit, fine. But right now all he is is a GREAT glove man.
