JohnCangelosi
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 06:06 PM) Too pumped coming out of the gate? I was worried about that. I think Jake may have blown his load in the first 2 innings. Seems he's around 70 pitches this inning alone

And I am SO sick of Hawk complaining about him hitting Berry. It was a f***ing mistake Hawk. Let it go. Pretty f***ing big mistake tho

daa84
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 07:10 PM) He's never been known as a clutch performer. And he talks such a big game about himself. I know he hasn't gotten the best run support but to me it always seems like he does just enough to lose
bulokis
Of course we get out of the inning after surrendering the lead. Against Verlander, we might not score anymore.
The Ginger Kid
What's with all the Jake hate? He had 1 bad inning and he's been one of our most consistent starters. Color me confused.
fathom
AJP getting good pitches to hit, just can't square them up. Peavy's got to get the momentum back for the Sox.
daa84
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 07:15 PM) What's with all the Jake hate? He had 1 bad inning and he's been one of our most consistent starters. Color me confused. You are right, I am overly hard on him right now. I just have never really liked the guy for some reason and I'm using a frustrating moment to vent a bit. He has been good this year and we need him to continue to do so

The Ginger Kid
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 05:22 PM) Yep Let's face it, the offense is in a funk right now. Youkilis' heroics have masked the under-performing heart of the order not named Rios. I feel like any other night and we might well have 5 on the board right now. His curve is up in the zone. JohnCangelosi
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 06:23 PM) What happened on Santiago's single that didn't move the runner over? It was hit so hard on a line that it looked like Rios was going to catch it. In fact, Rios caught it on the short hop and fired it back in so Peralta could not advance.
