Definitely not yet, we can score some runs off this guy the Tigers have on the mound.

Humber can't give up many more though

I am buying a bottle of your snake poison. Three guys with slumps for the Sox (Dunn-Konerko-Rios) ame through in the 1st. We can still make something happen

Trade for a SP. They have nothing to lose, this team isn't going to be very good next year if they don't at least make it to the ALCS this year.

Unless the offense magically reappears, adding one starting pitcher isn't going to lead the way to the promise land. Also, there is absolutely no way for you to predict how the team will be next season.

Why? The last time I checked, the pitcher doesn't hit in the AL. This team can't score runs. Why trade for pitching when they get zero support. This team needs a firesale.

Humber nibbles too much, hawk seems annoyed with the pitchers walking guys after having them 0-2

And he should. You have to challenge them instead of getting too cutsie

I'm not losing hope just yet, maybe he had the 1st inning jitters. The kid for the kitties has a 10+ ERA. Let's roll SOX!

Then Sox are screwed history tells us guys like this right all wrongs against Sox offense.

What gives you any kind of optimism that believs we will even score again? Have you watched this offense lately?

Stop with the fire sale comments please, it would just destroy this franchise and outside of Peavy, it's not like there's anyone on the team that has trade value who would be dealt.

Because look at who's pitching for them. This isn't Verlander or even Porcello.

It's not like the Tigers are going to get any worse in the near future.

Just can't wait for Victor Martinez to come back and be the full-time DH.

They will be adding a starting pitcher before the deadline.

I wonder if he'll use the elbow excuse again to explain his suckiness this season? He's literally been one of the worst pitchers in baseball over the last year.

There have actually been 22 worse starting pitchers this season than Humber.

EDIT: Oh, maybe you meant over the past calender year. In which case there have been 25 worse starters than Humber.

I don't think anyone would expect them to beat the Angels or Rangers in the Wild Card game.

Let's just face it, the Tigers are better, especially with the injury to Danks and the rookies filling up the pen.

We will forever be haunted by Escobar, Thornton and Reed from Thursday night's game...and Ventura's inexperience.

Really? PK has value. Rios has value. Tank has value. Floyd has value. Reed has value. Thornton has value. Alexeii has value. Youk has value. And you say destroy the franchise? If you haven't noticed, the franchise is doing a pretty good job destroying itself as we speak. You think people want to spend money to watch this crap?

If they couldn't hit against Porcello, what makes you think they will hit against Turner.

You have a better chance of the offense reappearing than this starting staff being good enough to make the playoffs. As far as the team goes next year, I don't think it's unreasonable to think they will be worse off than a 1/2 game out on this date next year.
