A lot longer than a single road trip!

This "nothing seems to be changing" thing is just silly in this time frame. Changing the lineup (other than giving a day off to players here and there) isn't something you do based on one road/home stand. You do that, and you reduce your chances of getting back to the rhythm they HAD before the ASB, which was good.

A lot of these issues were pertinent before the ASB (ie: Dunn and Konerko struggling to do much of anything). The offense started to struggle around mid June, but thankfully got to face some of the worst starters in baseball to pad their stats (Wolf, Blackburn, Randy Wells, Adam Warren).

Dunn was still hitting dingers pretty regularly, though his average was dipping. Konerko is in a bgi slump, but starting to get a few hits - you don't move a guy like that down. He's Paul Konerko, and has shown what will happen next.

Feel free to see it how you will, but I think its silly and damaging to start tinkering with the lineup at this point (again, beyond days off here and there).

Wouldve liked to see Dunn get a day off and JorDanks in left and DV DHing but like said before why kink the offense were just in a little slump. Rios is a monster in the 5 hole and putting him up in the 3 hole might change his mindset and the way pitchers approach him.

Is there anyone confident enough in the Sox winning to bet money on the game tonight?

That would take some major cojones, $1000 on the Sox to beat Liriano. What are the odds, just curious... Don't really follow baseball gambling so much.

The Sox are slightly favored on www.sportsbook.com. Bet $134 to win $100. If you bet $100 on the Twins, you win $124.

That isn't right. Sox are -134, which means you have to bet $134 to win $100 (if Sox win) Twins are the dog at +124, which means betting $100 would win you $124 if they win.

Isn't that exactly what I said?

And others think it silly to keep going with the same damn lineup day after day after day, in the face of the same poor results.

Obviously it is a matter of opinion as to how it will affect each individual hitter, but the actual statistics point to moving certain guys.

I'm not sure why you think this notion is "silly," when your entire premise is based on something that is entirely speculative and ill-informed.

We went off at only like -115 the other day when Sale was pitching...it seems like they are keying in heavily on how each team is playing at the moment just as much as the pitching matchups.

I should know I bet Sale that day

Sales been lockcity this year and been going off on very reasonable odds. And yeah, you could have god himself on the mound but it won't matter if ya can't score any Damn runs

The few people actually at the stadium tonight should Boo the s*** out of this team for the way they played on that road trip. And how many games they lost to Detroit.
