caulfield12
Any team sweeping another this time of the year, especially the Yankees, there's going to be a huge move in the standings. If we hadn't blown that stupid Thursday night game, we'd be tied for first and in the wild card spot, too...despite the DET sweep, although they'd have the tiebreaker advantage with the 7-4 overall mark against us. spiderman
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) Indians just beat Tigers /Verlander 5-3. Sox in sole possession of 1st. Both teams have pretty rough schedules over the next month or so - not a lot of easy series (Angels, Yankees, Rangers are all deck for both teams). chw42
Great game by the Indians. That 7th inning must have been awesome. It's not often you get 4 runs off Verlander.

Noonskadoodle
Tigers trailing 5-1 as Rasmus just hit ay 2 run homer in the bottom of the 7th. Anibal Sanchez is chased after that in his Tigers debut. He went 6+ giving up 5 earned runs on 8 hits 3 walks 3 punchouts & gave up 3 homers.(Encarnacion, Escobar, Rasmus) Tigers trailing 5-1 heading to bottom of the 8th. 3 more outs to score at least 4 runs. CMON JAYS! To the 9th we go. Still 5-1. JA Happ gets the final 6 outs for the Jays & the Tigers lose. Sox up a full 2 games as of now, with a nice opportunity to add to it tonight. If you're willing to take on money, and the Tigers always seem to be, you can get something for little player value.
iamshack
Well, they also have Castellanos, who is their best prospect and one of the better prospects in baseball. Very unlikely that they move him unless they want to go all out for a guy like JJ or Felix.
