Wanne
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 06:18 PM) His OPS is 9 points higher than Tyler Flowers' Yeah...I hear what you're sayin' based on stats alone. What was Youk's OPS before he came over btw? Olivo > Flowers...just sayin.
chetkincaid
Maybe Minny will give a boat load of cash to take Mauer off their hands...
southsider2k5
In a small way this is a blessing. It will give Flowers some consistent ABs for a few days to try to get some rhythm together.
Chisoxfn
Flowers looked good in his at bats today.
balfanman
My gosh, Flowers is NOT terrible. Give the kid a chance. You can't hit like Miguel Cabrera if you're sitting on the bench at least 6 times a week.
NorthSideSox72
What the... seriously folks? AJ is sitting for a game or two with a mild strain, and we're saying we need a new catcher? WTF? Settle down. Tyler needs some AB's anyway, and we're playing the Twins right now.
southsider2k5
http://www.csnchicago.com/baseball-chicago...&feedID=621 DAN HAYES The White Sox are hopeful a three-day rest will improve A.J. Pierzynski’s health. Pierzynski sat out Tuesday’s 11-4 victory with a minor right oblique strain and will also miss Wednesday’s game, manager Robin Ventura said. Pierzynski, who is among the leaders in most offensive categories for American League catchers, hopes to return Friday. He said the afflicted area bothered him recently, but not enough to keep him out of the lineup. Pierzysnki has played in 83 of the White Sox’ 97 games this season. “It's been kind of bothering me for a while and I've just been playing with it and (Monday) I took a swing and it just kind of sparked up a little bit," Pierzynski said. "I hope so. I think so. I got treatment all day (Tuesday). I'll get treatment all day again (Wednesday). Thursday, we'll see what happens, but I'm certainly hoping for Friday." elrockinMT
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 12:19 AM) Hawk..."You're darn right, I had an oblique pull for six years, kept me from making the Red Sox Hall of Fame." plus "I have been at this game for a long time - sinced we used rocks as baseballs and this is tough" LOL
elrockinMT
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 03:54 AM) In a small way this is a blessing. It will give Flowers some consistent ABs for a few days to try to get some rhythm together. It doesn't hurt any for sure. AJP gets three days off and is the hero on Friday
Harry Chappas
Aj could use a break. I hope they get Flowers more time moving forward. Older catchers are not expected to carry that workload.
Joxer_Daly
*breathes sigh of relief* So, it seems we're not going to need a bigger boat after all.
Jake
Excited for T Flow to get a little more time, he's looked better the last couple games. Maybe the thought that he'll get some more at bats reinvigorated him.
