ChiliIrishHammock24
Snodgress picking up where he left off in Low-A. Guy is dominating right now with 7 K to 1 BB and 3 hits through 5 IP.

danman31
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 07:29 PM) He's got a great arm. Yeah, I liked Snodgress when the Sox drafted him. He's been somewhat inconsistent as a pro, but has had solid numbers. He was wild with Kanny. Hopefully he was working on something and his promotion is a sign that he's ready to show his best stuff because this is a very impressive debut after a promotion. NorthSideSox72
38th round draft pick Keegan Linza, converted to a starter, sporting a 7.3 K/9 vs 0.7 K/9 (yes, less than 1), for a better than 10:1 K:BB. Also inducing ground balls at a good rate. Core numbers are decent, especially for that league. Old for level, but, still fun to see a guy drafted that low do well. He's 24 in rookie ball with an ERA over 4 and allowing over a hit per inning. I wouldn't exactly be excited over that

NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 08:34 AM) Seeing him doing well, yes i can read. You must have a different criteria for doing well then A guy who was drafted 1161st in the 2011 draft (38th round), had a decent season as a reliever in Bristol, gets converted to a starter, puts up very nice K and BB numbers, good ground ball numbers, and OK-decent core numbers in a very offense-heavy league... I'd definitely call that doing well. A guy drafted at that point, having any success at all is beating expectations. I never said he was suddenly a big prospect, or anything of the sort. Just that he's doing much better than one would expect, and it's fun to watch. I am not sure why you are trying to turn this into something it isn't. Doing well and beating expectations are not the same as being a serious prospect, necessarily, and I never made (and wouldn't make) that leap.
