flavum
Greinke scheduled to pitch in 48 hours. Many think he'll be traded by then. I hope he is, so Kenny can either get his man or have another 48 hours to do something else. Edited July 27, 2012 by flavum
Dick Allen
The price tags are very high right now, but no one is buying yet. It will be interesting to see when the prices start falling.

Dick Allen
The only way it made any sense for the Sox to give up their top young guys for Greinke is if he would have signed an extension. That won't happen, and the Brewers want prospects, probably whose arb clocks haven't started. Other teams are better a better match for that. There are other guys who will make the Sox better and not have such a high cost. Out on Greinke could be a blessing in disguise.

I really felt that the players whcih were being talked about would have made us a weaker team, even with Zack in the rotation. Thanks for the update Doc. Jake
I'd rather pay less for Garza or someone else that doesnt get picked up by the top teams due to the GM's initial high asking price.

flavum
What if the Rangers get Lee, and the Angels get Shields? Maybe the Brewers come back to the Sox and take a little less just to move him. Ahhhh, we're getting Joe Blanton.
southsider2k5
It will be interesting to see which organization blinks first. If the sellers don't drop their prices, will the buyers jump their offers?
Soxbadger
Probably not. The Brewers have to blink, not trading Grienke would be a fiasco if they dont resign him.

It is pretty entertaining to read all the speculation on here. Looking like a back end rotation starter at best.

Preferrably before Danks gets back if they can go to 4.
