ptatc
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 10:41 AM) http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/artic...s#disqus_thread The title of the article is misleading. The rehab isn't slow. He's is still in the healing phase, so this is the slow portion of the rehab process where he needs to rest.
The Ginger Kid
"...I haven't gotten into the full rehab process. I hear that's a little tougher." Yes, John, it is. I don't know how many of you guys have had major surgery on joints, but speaking from experience, the rehab is BRUTAL. I tore my kneecap in half playing softball and once rehab started I thought I'd never be able to bend it again. I was biting on a towel to keep from screaming when the therapist was bending it only a few degrees! Once you get motion, then you have to start strengthening all those muscles that atrophied...ugh. I really do marvel at the modern athlete and their ability to come back from some pretty serious stuff.
