Frank_Thomas
QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Jul 29, 2012 -> 04:23 PM) Who would you guys say is the most credible reporter out there regarding trade rumors? Nightengale?...Buster?...Rosenthal? I feel like for the Sox Rosenthal/Morosi and Nightengale are the best to follow. I think they have a line into KW, I've followed them the past couple of deadlines and they always seem to be the national guys who cover the sox the most. Dick Allen
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 29, 2012 -> 04:02 PM) Morel's health make it very hard to include him in any deal. He's saying he is fine now, that his hips were misalined.

That guy hasn't broken anything since the Frasor/Teahen thing.
Noonskadoodle
MLB.com is reporting that the Rangers are not high on Josh Johnson at all. So with them not going hard at him & the Angels already with Greinke, maybe the Sox can sneak in?

flavum
Not sure if it was mentioned, but Peter gammons mentioned on MLB Network that the League deal will probably happen after the Mariners game. Top 5 in Seattle

So with them not going hard at him & the Angels already with Greinke, maybe the Sox can sneak in? Rangers are not high on JJ because of the price I am afraid. I don't think the Marlins have a big issue with keeping him.

bulokis
QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jul 29, 2012 -> 04:30 PM) Heyman, Rosenthal, Morosi and Stark Rosenthal seems like he has an inside track on KW or maybe KW trust him a little bit more.
flavum
If it's the Giants and Brandon Belt, they haven't removed him from the game. Both the M's and Giants' games are in the 6th.
spiderman
QUOTE (bulokis @ Jul 29, 2012 -> 04:46 PM) Rosenthal seems like he has an inside track on KW or maybe KW trust him a little bit more. I think Rosenthal is the best, I think he has the most "inside" information. Gammons is still ok, but I think age is catching up to him and Heyman is also respectable. Quin
Watch Kenny get Felix & League for Jones, Castro, Molina, Mitchell and Floyd (BAL or TOR). Maybe even take back Figgins and Humber to pen/spot start.

The Ultimate Champion
Bottom of the 7th in Seattle hosting the Royals. Why do they even play these games? MLB should institute a strict coin flip policy in the next CBA. Edit: Brendan Ryan is at bat. Maybe he's our guy. The Ultimate Champion
How cool would it be if after the Seattle-KC game each team announced a separate trade with the Sox, with one team sending over a UT player and the other a late inning reliever? Has that even happened before?
Noonskadoodle
KW certainly has been talking to the Mariners an awful lot. From the Ichiro discussions & now this. You have to think Felix has come up in discussions, & didn't Tank hit an absolute bullet dead center for a homer at Safeco last year?....Their GM is probably still in awe over that.
