JoshPR
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 25, 2012 -> 01:55 PM) What exactly did he say? That he didn't think the sox were done and if there's a player needed Kenny will make a move, something to that extent
Balta1701
I can't imagine the Sox have the bullets in their minors to get Upton, and Viciedo wouldn't get through waivers to them.
iamshack
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 25, 2012 -> 03:36 PM) I can't imagine the Sox have the bullets in their minors to get Upton, and Viciedo wouldn't get through waivers to them. Neither would Upton. There isn't a chance in hell he would fall to us.

Marty34
QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Aug 28, 2012 -> 10:48 AM) Maybe if Miami picks up that last year of the contract. Or at least 1/2 of it. Heck, the Dodgers are looking for a SP, they could get Buehrle to waive his no trade by giving him an extension.
Jake
Grabbing Buehrle would probably be the least negative effect a big acquisition could have on the clubhouse. The opposing possibility would be the media circus that would follow Dice-K here.
spiderman
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 28, 2012 -> 10:18 AM) 3 years, $48 million isn't little return for Buehrle. I'm assuming he means in terms of a return of prospects to the Marlins. Saying that, no way do I add a mulit-year deal if I'm Kenny Williams. They are going to have a difficult time determing the best course of action this off-season, they don't need a new large contract on their books making the decisions for them. Quin
Buehrle's return could be the type of move that gets fan to come back out in bunches and would make the clubhouse excited.

hogan873
Has anyone heard of any players being claimed? It would be interesting if the Sox claimed anyone, but I kind of doubt it.

Steve9347
I don't care how fiscally irresponsible it would be, Mark Buehrle coming back to the Sox would make me masturbate and give us a much better chance of winning a World Series title this year. Also, Jake's gone this offseason anyway, so 2013 would look better, too.
