Why are things changing in a clutch situation? Because someone has been clutch in big moments in the past?

Would you rather have Craig Counsell or Joe Mauer up bottom of the ninth two outs down one with runners on?

Konerko is hitting .325 THIS YEAR, with an OBP over .400.

There's plenty of point in it.

Just because someone has had a clutch hit in the past, it does not indicate how many clutch hits they will have in the future.

Baseball is a chaotic game, period. yet tons of energy is expended on making it not so.

We are not talking about just "A" clutch hit in the past when referring to Paulie & AJ, we are talking about multiple clutch hits.

Its just my opinion, give me Paulie or AJ over Rios.

Im just glad we have ALL 3 in our lineup.

so unlike the marlins, did the twins just need a new stadium for fans to start going or is it the whole "new stadium" thing that lasts 3-5 years?

I think they really like being outdoors. Its a nice place and the location is fantastic. I don't think they will keep up with their current attendance figures if they keep losing, but I think good crowds are there to stay.

You'll start hating me for beating a dead horse, I know-- but wouldn't it be safe to say that plenty of BAD players in MLB history have had multiple clutch hits?

AJ is a decent hitting catcher, but this year is making people forget the guy who swings and swings endlessly to aid batting average but also create outs. I want this year to be what he really is, of course. but the larger accumulation data is what he really is.

I think his weight loss has helped him. He's really trimmed down. I bet he's at least 10-15 lbs. lighter than he was on opening day and he had lost a lot then.

Definitely. Last year he was a fat f***ing slob.

A decent hitting catcher?

The guy should've been starting the all star game this year & it seems he is getting better with age.
