So I can't enjoy a White Sox game because a few people want to poop all over everything? Got it.

Yup that's what I said.

But thank you for making everyone read you going back and forth with him for 10 or so posts because I'm sure that's what everyone reading this thread was looking forward to.

Right, because that's exactly what I said. You have to be on either extreme end of the spectrum, no in between.

ive been wondering but never asked, why the sad smiley in your avi?

I looked it up earlier. He is #3 at just over 109 pitches per game.

How does that make sense. He hasn't had a full season in years and we are riding him into the ground. I'm amazed his agent hasn't griped. Its a tribute to the type of gutsy player he is, but its also stupid and if I were his agent I'd be pissed cause the Sox are really pushing him in a contract year. I know the Brewers did it with CC, but there is a lot of money at stake (plus I happen to want a productive Peavy down the stretch and the more we do this, the more I wonder how fresh he'll really be).

And if he's not effective/productive as our veteran leader, this team is in trouble.

This post is just like mine saying don't give the lead right back.

No, it's not. Peavy has been pitching his ass off. Thornton has not done well in the 9th inning for a number of years now.

I've felt Robin has pushed the starters too long in several instances this year. Peavy and Sale being the biggest two

It makes me believe that we don't plan on bringing him back.

The thing with message boards is, outside of terms of service violations or whatever...everything else can and will be said. There's no gatekeeper.

So to wish people wouldn't say certain things is really just not what the message board medium is. Openness to all points of view is kind of...the point.

That's why I say --without any anger, attitude or anything-- quite frankly no one is forcing you to post here if you don't like that openness. Now, if Caesar posts something improper with regard to the rules, that's another matter entirely.

It's kind of like how people get irate about Facebook changes. No one is holding a gun to your head telling you keep your account alive.

I can't remember the specific reason why I decided to use it. It's been a while. General disappointment in people, probably.

I don't want Robin to play closer roulette like he did in Boston.

If Reed screws up, he screws up. Don't put him in a crappy situation and expect him to come out of it without any issues.

I agree with that. Guy is ballsy and will never leave, but sometimes, you as a team need to do what you need to do to protect him and ensure he can keep it up. I realize he's a bulldog and works out, etc, and we hope that his body can handle this, but given the past couple years, he is in unchartered waters from a workload perspective. We should be treating him like we do Sale (not as extreme, but the club should be highly cognizant and giving him the ocassional extra rest).

At least with this semi 6 man rotation, the club will be able to give Peavy an extra day from time to time (and has done a pretty good job doing such already this year).

We were leading in the first and he gave it right back in the bottom of the first. Didn't say he wasn't pitching his ass off. Our pitching has been giving back the leads for awhile now. Everyone on here has been saying it.
