thxfrthmmrs
Our lefty starting options next year: Sale, Dank, Liriano, Quintana, Santiago. Crazy. By my calculation, Bristol has been postponed 12 times this past month. What is crazy is that half of those games are on the road. ChiliIrishHammock24
Shoemaker with a great game, Rienzo got shelled. Charlotte is just loaded with bullpen arms doing well.
danman31
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 3, 2012 -> 11:29 PM) Shoemaker with a great game, Rienzo got shelled. Charlotte is just loaded with bullpen arms doing well. Nitpicking the phrase 'shelled' but Rienzo wasn't. 4 R in 6 IP is bad and the 5 walks are awful, but I consider shelled in the more runs than IP range. caulfield12
Conor Jackson and Dan Johnson could be pretty important in SEPT. Same with having a 3rd catcher. We're surviving just fine at the major league level with only two lefties in the pen...we hardly have needed Septimo, actually. Saladino's going to be lucky to hit .200 at Charlotte one would think. Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 4, 2012 -> 07:45 AM) Conor Jackson and Dan Johnson could be pretty important in SEPT. Saladino's going to be lucky to hit .200 at Charlotte one would think. First, I believe our 40 man roster is full, so if we want to add any position players in the minors in September other than Brent Morel, then we'll have to clear roster spaces. Therefore, calling up Jackson, Johnson, and a third catcher will prove to be difficult. Second, why do you think Saladino will be lucky to hit .200 at AAA? The jump is fairly insignificant and the Knights' ballpark is much more offense-oriented than the Barons' park. I wouldn't expect too much of a change for Saladino. If anything, he's just adjusting to a new team and league right now. Edited August 4, 2012 by Chicago White Sox

thxfrthmmrs
Caufield hates Saladino, constantly downplays any work Saladino has done while constantly overstating Jared Mitchell's ability. I hope it makes him feel better.
