Texsox
http://www.themonitor.com/articles/canseco...s-american.html The Associated Press HARLINGEN, Texas (AP) — Jose Canseco has signed with the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings of the North American Baseball League on Friday, and is expected to play Saturday night against McAllen. The 48-year-old Canseco hit 462 home runs in 18 seasons in the majors and was the 1988 AL MVP. He later admitted using performance-enhancing drugs. Earlier this season, Canseco played in 20 games for the Worcester Tornadoes in the Canadian-American Association. Last year, he hit .256 with eight home runs and 46 RBIs as a player-manager for the North American Baseball League's Yuma Scorpions. The signing comes three days after Canseco filed for bankruptcy protection in Nevada. The filing lists less than $21,000 in assets and almost $1.7 million in liabilities, including more than $500,000 owed to the Internal Revenue Service. The team has an "Adopt-A-Player" program. I wonder if I signed up if I can offer a room for Jose?

Texsox
QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 3, 2012 -> 07:54 PM) Just a place where his parole officer can find him. IDK, he'll be about 20 miles from Mexico. Maybe he can catch some "youth in a needle"?
Dick Allen
What ever happened to that thing he had going where if you paid him $200 or so, you could spend the day with him? I'd have had him wash my car.
Chisoxfn
Pretty crazy how far he has fallen. I enjoyed is tenure with the White Sox. Even though he wasn't very good with them, he was exciting and had a fun personality.
