Soxfest
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 07:50 PM) He's 23, he's going to take some lumps in his first full season. This was the plan. Does not mean he cannot sit some days.
ScottyDo
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 08:50 PM) He's 23, he's going to take some lumps in his first full season. This was the plan. Totally agree. The only problem with "the plan", though, is that it didn't orginally involve winning. So the plan has changed somewhat. However, I'd rather keep Tank in the lineup, especially since we're generally hitting well enough to cover him up. Dude needs experience, though. Can't bench him down the stretch if you want him to gain experience in meaningful situations.

He's letting his swing fly instead of trying to guide the bat.

fathom
QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 02:12 AM) Tigers seem like they're just scoring at will right now. Boesch, Peralta and Avila are hitting much better since the ASB. When you combine that with their awesome trio of Jackson, Cabrera and Fielder, you have the makings of a dynamic offense. chw42
That chart they showed of the Sox through the last 54 and the first 54 is very interesting. Everything was pretty much identical. But then again, with a 54 game sample size, a lot of stuff should be fairly identical.
