Boras is an asshole

lol he and Rizzo built the Nationals. What bulls***.

Rizzo didn't even build the Nationals. He just hit on two of the biggest no-brainer picks in draft history.

It's really bad business. How does it look when your team can't fill up the stadium when big market teams come to town?

The extra money they make probably isn't more than them filling up the stadium at slightly cheaper prices.

Plus you get more concessions and parking revenue. Dumb move by the Sox brass.

You guys really think you know their marketing strategy better than them?

It ain't working too well when the stadium is half empty with the Yankees in town.

Im pretty sure their strategy is to make money, not fill seats. So without actually having access to their books, how can you do anything but assume?

Its just silly to believe that the Sox arent trying to make the most money possible.

Now their strategy may not work, but they are trying to make money.

Which makes attendance even more important.

No it doesn't, it makes having a certain income group attending very important. Folks who drive but who also use the sox lots, rather than usin public transit or the other lots in the area.

Prices that attract a lot of public transit users arent as profitable.
