forkit
I'd do my best to make a move to acquire some pitching. A move today or tonight to add to the pitching might make as much emotional impact as adding Robbie and Carl in July. They made the additions then, I assume, because they felt this division is there for the taking and the Sox weren't far from having what they needed to take it. I still they the division is there for the taking. And I think the American League Championship is also there for the team that gets to the playoffs and then plays hot. I think the ALCS is wide open... I'm not saying the Sox won't win the division without any further additions. I am saying that there has been talk they were still looking to add a pitcher. If they are close to a deal or if there is a solid deal out there, make the deal now for maximum emotional impact, while we are entering this seven game home stretch. This also assumes that Einhorn is pulling the strings, not KW... We're in it to win it! Forkit!
shoe
Bring in a young arm from the farm, Cotts is a good addition, who else is down there? Looks like Bajenaru (sp?) got another save last night in birmingham what about him?
Chisoxfn
I like Cotts quite a bit, so if I'm Einhorn I'd bring in a closer if possible. Its too bad the Sox couldn't of landed Benitez cause he really would of been nice along-side Marte and Gordon.

They just had a segment on a radio show today about how everyone thought Benetiz just needed a change of scenery, but he still is sucking up the place in Seattle and the Yanks before that. He's merely a mouthpiece for EE and Hemond.

I still cant see how that didnt go public. Many reporters would NEVER hold this news back. If it's here, it had to leak to the media somewhere if it's true. I can't help but thinking one of the asshole reporters in this town would have wrote something.

Maybe it is possible for them to not have taken notice.
witesoxfan
Jas, two things about Benetiz....for starters, I wouldn't want him. He brings the same kind of gas that Koch brings....the kind of gas that gets lit up. Secondly, he would have costed up Gordon or Marte. Wasn't gonna happen, and I'm glad it didn't. Chisoxfn
I firmly believe Ken Williams is in charge.
JUGGERNAUT
The Southtown would not have overlooked that. I don't believe it's true. KW is still in charge.
