Yes I do. I think you have to. There has to be something in you every year that says if these things happens, then the team has a shot.

Right now I see a lot of reasons why the team has a shot (On Paper), but everytime i watch them play, they show me why they don't have a shot.

I still have hope.

I thought yesterday was until A-Rod homered. Now I just don't know. I think they could be tied for first Thursday morning but I could also see them being 5 out. Runelvys Hernandez was sent down so the Royal rotation consists of Paul Abbot, Kevin Appier and Jose Lima. This is just wrong.

See what a good manager does for a team....

I see things the same way. The sox obviously have the talent, now we just need that miracle to push the rest in motion........... :headbang

or a REAL Manager.

Thats what pisses me off. We have to wait for a miracle while a team with a real manager would have a safe cushion in first place or at least I feel it would.

I will keep believing in this team until its statistically impossible for us to win first place. Being tied for second with the Twins worries me, but once again there is a perfect opportunity for the Sox to gain ground on KC; who are facing the Yanks at Yankee Stadium.

Look we all know we have been terrible against the West Coast squads the past 3 years or so in their house. We are over that now, and have a 6-game home field difference. Granted, we only play Detroit and Cleveland for one more series each and the rest of the series after these two are against our rival Twins, Royals plus the Yanks and Red Sox, we gotta like the fact that we have some great stretches at the Cell, where we've been virtually unstoppable.

Let's just all remember what we said about Colon-Buehrle at the beginning of the season, and see that both are pitching sub-.500! My point is that ANYTHING can happen to even a rotation like that of KC. That's why games are played on the field instead of just on paper.

I forsee this division being up for grabs until the final weekend of the season.

I think you should stop dissing CLE. Since the break:

5/7 vs MIN, 2/3 vs SEA, 3/4 vs ANA, 2/3 vs TBD

They've won 8/11.

gms left: 8 vs MIN, 6 vs KC, 3 vs SOX

I don't think anyone's dissing Cleveland at this point. Many of us have pointed out the fact that they're going to play a MAJOR role in the final standings in the division. In addition, mention has been made to the fact that they are playing actual baseball since the break (hugely impacted by the stellar performance of Milton Bradley).

Where has Cleveland been dissed recently?

You know what I noticed?

You can't have a lefty throw against Thomas in the 9th or later at home. The Twins did it with Guardado, and the Angels did it with Washburn.

Same result, both times. Fought some pitches off, including one that was, as Hawk would call it, a ball that is "the right size, but the wrong shape", and he then finished it off with a homer. Frank is tough as hell in the 9th against lefties.
