BridgeportHeather
Jerry Manuel is a scumbag!!! He must be blind, because he certainly isn't seeing the obvious, that, aside from Magglio Ordonez, Aaron Rowand has the most heart of all other outfielders. Rowand is the only outfielder who's willing to FULLY "take one for the team," as he doesn't put his personal safety in thought when he goes back to make catches alongside the wall or dive to grab it before it hits the ground. In addition, his swing has majorly improved since being called up from AAA. Rowand's both hitting and giving us a great glove defensively, so he NEEDS to be an EVERY DAY player!!! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out, so why can't JM figure this one out?
winninguglyin83
love to see Rowand get a better shot. he lays in on the line every night He can catch, throw and run. Hustles his butt off. and he hit that monster homer against the Cubs. more clock for aaron
Capn12
I've been the biggest proponent of AaRow all year, but now that Everett is here, there is nowhere to play ROwand unless you play him against LHP...but apparently even JM can't figure that one out
whitesox247
I dont have a problem with him playing once a week but we only see him once a month. Its all about keeping your guys fresh.

Maggs, Lee, or Everett if Rowand plays everyday?

A.... you said the same thing about Graffenino a few weeks back and he's so cool now that he's ice. And..... B..... we traded for Everett and his bat because we are a supposed contender. Like some else here said, start him against LHP's. But there is absolutely no way the front office is going to let Rowand be the EVERYDAY starter over Everett. And the way Rowand started the season and the fact that he is streaky like TG, a start once..... maybe twice..... a week is all that should be in order. southsider2k5
Rowand should have been playing tonight against the lefty, no doubt about it.
Heads22
Play it like this LF - Lee CF - Rowand RF - Ordonez 1B - Thomas and Konerko DH - Everett or Konerko or Daubach

CubKilla
Rowand? f*** HIM! Maury..... the voice of SANITY and REASON!
Capn12
Rowand? f*** HIM! Is that because Everett is SO smooth in centerfield already? Face it, Carl flat out sucks in CF, he has no idea as to how to get his berrings straight, and no clue as to where to throw the ball back in. CubKilla
Is that because Everett is SO smooth in centerfield already? No. The reason is much deeper with Maury
Steff
Rowand? f*** HIM! Yikes!! he's kinda cute, too.. but I wouldn't go this far.
Jim Fainter
Rowand might get his chance next year.
YASNY
It wouldn't be that difficult to get Rowand more playing time. First, start him against all LH pitchers, in place of Everett. No Brainer! ....... Occasionally rest Carlos, let Everett play left and Rowand in CF. Occasionally sit Frank, with Everett as DH. Occasionally Let Frank play 1st, Everett DH, rest PK. And always use Rowand as a defensive replacement when we have a lead late in the game.... like the 3rd inning or so.
