LittleHurt05
QUOTE (Special K @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 09:54 AM) Does anyone know when they will start selling playoff tickets? Not meaning go on Stubhub and buy a season ticket holders anticipated tickets. There is no specific date, you just have to keep your eyes/ears open when it gets announced. Doing a quick Google search, in 2005 playoff tickets went on sale Sept. 15, but obviously that team was in a different position. Tigers playoff tickets actually went on sale last Thursday, so it just depends on the team.

3GamesToLove
Yep, general sale at noon on Friday. 7 and 14 game plan holders get a presale at 10am on Friday. My Dad and I are trying for three for the second LDS game--the two of us, and one of my best friends who's a Yankees fan.
SnB
Sure looks like there's a ton of presales for everyone to gobble up the tix before the general public. I'm already expecting to pay a bit of a premium for the tix on stubhub anyway.
justBLAZE
How much are they going, lets say outfield seats, for STH?
tonyho7476
My guy just went to his presale and said the upper deck tix in the nosebleeds were $180. Is that possible? Sounds like BS to me.

ALCS prices face range from $75 to $120 WS tickets range from $110 to $250 Special seating areas like Scouts and Jim Beam seats aren't listed, but I am sure they are very high. The wildcard game, and all 3 ALDS. So, its going to be a big knock on his card. He is buying...I am going.

Sounds about right.

It actually is impossible. If you are a Wild Card and win the WC game, you then do not have home field advantage for the Division Series and thus can only play two home games. Only way to play three home games in Division Series is to be a division winner with one of the two best records, in which case you aren't playing in the WC game. Your money is fully refunded back to your credit card so you are not out of pocket. The Sox are covering the basis to allow everyone to have the tickets they need when they need them. Harry Chappas
If you put on a credit card today and your billing cycle is 30 days, there is not interest on this to you. How much interest do you get on cash? NONE. I am sure the White Sox are not goign ot take this money and invest it for 14 days, that is how long they will be holding it. What process would you like them to use?
Paint it Black
Anyone have any idea how rare or hard it is to get tickets to the general public for the playoffs? My dad's birthday is on October 5th so I thought tickets would be a nice surprise. However, I'd rather not take it in the moon from stubhub if I can avoid it, and plus I'm always at my computer at noon at work. Any experiences negative or positive would help. Paint it Black
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 19, 2012 -> 12:35 PM) I've never succeeded in getting Sox or Bears playoff tickets via online general sale. That's what I thought. Plus I just found out about the weird ALDS scheduling for 2012 only. The lower seed plays games 1 and 2 at home...which doesn't help me because my dad is going to be out of town during first two ALDS games. Might just have to bite the bullet on ALCS tickets and hope they make it.
