chw42
Here's our chance to blow the game open and save the back end of the bullpen.
caulfield12
Could easily have run themselves into a triple play there had the runners been on the move again.
chw42
It'd be nice to get at least 2 runs here.
caulfield12
Beckham indecisive there....caught in no man's land. Should probably have scored there, bases loaded for Paulie. Another RBI, even a sacrifice fly, would be big here for Paulie's confidence. Should be a good match-up against a primarily FB pitcher. chw42
Konerko's 1 for 10 with the bases juiced this year.
Jake
If Dayan keeps his approach to the middle-opposite field, I see nothing but good ahead for him.

caulfield12
Dadgummit, bases loaded situations killing the White Sox the last two weeks. Way too many pop-ups.
fathom
QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 11:14 PM) Konerko's 1 for 10 with the bases juiced this year. Jeez, we've seen that weak pop up far too often from him.
chw42
Paulie's popping almost everything up.
chw42
Wow...so much fail. Myers in for the 8th. So does this mean Thornton has the 9th if Myers doesn't give anything up? Gulp... Edited September 8, 2012 by chw42
fathom
QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 11:17 PM) Paulie's popping almost everything up. He's having a hard time hitting anything on the line.

caulfield12
14/74 with RISP. (.189) Breathed some life back into the Royals if they can score here in the 8th. Then there's always the scary possibility of Addison Reed entering the game looming... Edited September 8, 2012 by caulfield12
fathom
Myers velocity seems way down from where it was earlier in the year. I saw where he threw 94 mph in a game vs the White Sox earlier this year.
caulfield12
That breaks the string of 13 batters in a row retired. Sunshine gone, 3-1 count. Bad combination. SIGH. Top of the Royals' line-up now. Should have put the game away last inning and now it probably gets interesting again somehow. Crap. This is NOT GOOD. And there's no savior down in that bullpen. Just get the DP here, PLEASE. Edited September 8, 2012 by caulfield12

fathom
QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 11:23 PM) Myers has an 18 ERA vs. the Royals this year. He has nothing on his pitches of late. This bullpen is so fragile right now. Edited September 8, 2012 by fathom
caulfield12
Holy hell... Thank god he was out at home. That might save the game. Viciedo with another good play in combination with Ramirez. Could easily have been a 5-4 game and goodbye to the game in all likelihood. Seems 90% of the time after you blow the bases loaded situation the other team fights back in the following inning.
