fathom
And now with the bunt, we need Olmedo to come through. I hate the bunt.
fathom
Thanks again for the bunt Ventura and this lineup. Olmedo swung at that pitch like he was down in the hole 0-2. Ventura going to bench Alexei the entire game? Edited September 9, 2012 by fathom

Clearly, we're an hour away from the 9th inning, so I could tune back in at that point.
caulfield12
Bunting to get to Olmedo and Beckham the last few games. Dumb dumb dumb. But DeAza's usually a good hitter with RISP. Just, like everyone else on the team, not executing with RISP for 12+ games now. You'd think it was the last home game of the season with the Sox 10-12 games back. Guess there were a couple of times the crowd got behind Hector, but pretty darned quiet there. Edited September 9, 2012 by caulfield12

He keeps bunting and it doesn't work. Meanwhile, Yost didn't bunt in the 9th on Friday and KC has a win to show for it.
rafacosta
Seriously, RV has been very lucky lately. Having Olmedo hitting instead of putting Alex to PH. don't get it.

caulfield12
White Sox bullpen rookies definitely doing the job. Actually, all 3 pitchers on the mound today are rookies, forget how young most of our pitching staff is sometimes.

caulfield12
Okay Goth version of Kelly Clarkson, let's hope your singing inspired the White Sox to score some runs here. caulfield12
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 03:09 PM) How do you stop the catcher from blocking the plate on the play when De Aza was thrown out? Simple Run him over, like Torii Hunter over Jamie Burke. He started the season with an injured knee...but Perez is HUGE. Don't know if DeAza wouldn't have ended up more injured than what he did. caulfield12
If he pinch runs for Konerko, he better at least get Ramirez's bat into the game. Need an AJ homer here. If he's going to use Alexei and not bench him the entire game, why not have him hit for Olmedo last inning? I don't understand Ventura sometimes.
