I guess the way to look at is that Detroit could have scored 4-5-6 runs.

We should have 2-3.

So, all things considered, we're still just a bloop and a blast away from taking the lead.

That said, someone actually has to step up to the moment. So far, Quintana's really the only one to respond, and he's a gassed rookie pitching on fumes.

A 23 year old putting up a ERA of 4 after never pitching above A ball and throwing 75 innings more than his career high isn't "legit"?

Legitt, as in, he was LEGITIMATELY as good as he was doing early in the season. That he wasn't due for a major regression soon, and he wasn't lucky as hell to have a sub-2 ERA as long as he did.

How funny is this season though. This team has beat us 7 freaking times in a row this year & we STILL have a 2 game lead on them.

Lets just pretend we were all tigers fans...unfortunately...how freaking FRUSTRATING would it be to first of all be predicted to run away with the division, but then beat the only other team in the race 7 straight times & STILL trail by 2 games? haha

They have more post season potential than the Sox.

People who were penciling him in as the Sox #3 starter did not expect him to have a sub 2 ERA because that's best in MLB ACE kind of numbers.

In fact most comparisons I saw was, Mark Buehrle, middle of the order type pitcher that will give you 200 innings and can be lights out on occasion, when hitting his spots.

Gordo!

But your post implied that he couldn't be a #3 starter next year and that only fools were thinking he was legit enough to be one.

Cmon you can not take credit for predicting that he would not have a sub-2 ERA for the entire season hahahahahaha

The top pitchers in the league dont even do that......Do you work with Ms Cleo by any chance?

RV is becoming more stubborn than Guillen. Why in hell he sticks with this lineup? PK hitting 4th is atrocious. Also, why don't you use a LH agst Porcello in place of Viciedo. DJ is there for what?

Viciedo had hit Porcello well
