caulfield12
Jesus. Did I say we lost? I just said we let them back into this game and series. That's it. The White Sox bullpen needs to show up and beat the Tigers, simple.
Andy the Clown
Just to be clear, if a pitcher doesn't get Cabrera out 4 times per game he's an overrated choke artist? No, if you get lit up by Austin Jackson in a big situation, you suck.
Noonskadoodle
Does anybody else think this site should have an actual chatroom? I know gamethreads are traditional but I feel an actual chatroom on gameday would be a lot better. just my 2 cents tho.....
caulfield12
QUOTE (BlackBetsy @ Sep 11, 2012 -> 07:39 PM) No. Pitchers who bomb out against a team's biggest rivals 3 times in a row + have a 10+ ERA in the playoffs and lose critical games at the end of the season (for the Padres) are choke artists. Let's not forget the game he was leading 6-0 going into the 6th and fell apart. He wins that game, this wasn't doesn't matter nearly as much. Harry Chappas
Peavy did a decent job. The Detroit offense is scuffling and he struggled to throw strikes all night and is sitting at 95 pitches through 5. He needed a better outing. The issue though is the offense is lifeless once again. Fister looks to be able to got at least 7 and turn it over to the bullpen.

Sure, one of the best players in the AL all season long when he's healthy sucks. You must not pay attention to other teams or only watched DET last year. Not only did you suggest this game is over, you really questioned tomorrow night, and basically suggested the Sox forfeit on Thursday as Verlander will be pitching the game of his life. So considering he's a Cy Young and MVP, that means the Sox really have no shot at that game. You should give up baseball and find a new hobby. There has to be something that makes you happy. So considering he's a Cy Young and MVP, that means the Sox really have no shot at that game. You should give up baseball and find a new hobby. There has to be something that makes you happy. Go ahead, be happy with the pitcher we've been overpaying for 3 of the last 4 seasons if it really makes YOU happy. It's obvious, the Tigers are 1-9 in their last 10 games, not including the sweep. You breathe ANY life back into them...well, you just don't want to do that, do you? Would you rather the two teams be tied with 19 games to go just to make it more exciting? Do you want to bet $1000 on Gavin Floyd against Scherzer tomorrow? Let me put it THIS way. When's the last time you remember the White Sox absolutely beating Justin Verlander in an important, "must win" game? Harry Chappas
The Tigers have hit 35 foul balls tonight the White Sox have hit 7. I do nto know if tht means anythign but it just seemd that the Tigers made Jake work while the Sox are not making Fister work.
