I'd be stunned if he's not on the Dodgers next year. To his credit, it's no shock he's tiring down the stretch. Just an insane workload for him this season, and there were definitely opportunities to limit his pitch count in earlier starts.

Maybe we could send him there now and get Gonzalez. He could replace Dunn.

Then don't bring your doom and gloom nonsense

Oh don't pull this s*** out now.

Shack, you need to relax. This is turning into an easy Tiger victory. With Floyd going tomorrow and Verlander the next game and our history vs. Detroit, 1 of 4 looks likely.

You guys are really overreacting here...

All I ask is that my manager doesn't go to the last guy in the bullpen when we are trailing 3-2 in the 8th in a huge game.

Is there any possible justification for that?

Exactly, the pitching has been shaky this game, but it doesn't matter when the offense has disappeared.

It would be nice for Peavy to step up and win a big game once though in a Sox jersey. He's done nothing to change the perception he has of being a terrible "big game pitcher".

Peavy is the least of he worries on this team the inconsistent hitting is the issue and mind numbing bullpen moves are the issue.

You need to move somewhere where there is no Internet access.

Well, he did pitch Omogrosso against Cabrera in a big spot last night. Thankfully Veal was lurking.

What f***ing town do we live in? We are Sox fans right? Not Mariners fans who don't give a rats ass about their team, who cheer when the team wins and shrugs when the team loses. We're a passionate fan base who expects nothing but the best from the players all the way up to management and the owners. I'm sick of the lollypop licking pansies who can't take any form of criticism when things aren't going well. Get some f***ing balls people or go follow the Padres, Cubs or some other losers.

It was sarcasm without the green. Anytime someone dares to say that RV might of made a mistake we have someone point to the standings and how we should be just happy we are here. Its the same argument that people made with Guillen. Its okay if his team takes off the second half because he single handledly won the world series.

RV has been f***ing brutal lately and his decisions are costing the team wins down the stretch.

We still have two at bats! The game wasn't over yet...we were down a run!

What would you say if we score two here?

The Sox aren't equipped to win games when their starter goes 5.2 innings.

How do you figure? The addition of Veal has made it easier to use Thornton for a full inning if needed. As much as I'm disappointed in Peavy, this is all on the offense. Viciedo is clearly overmatched against RHP, but how about Konerko turn his season around and start performing like a #4 hitter and not a slappy #9 hitter?

I bet Rosenbloom brings this up tomorrow.

He is what he is. A decent pitcher. I can't believe how high his pitch counts go sometimes in a minimal amount of innings.
