Well, this is a familiar scenario against the Tigers this year.

Crooked numbers put up vs. our pitchers when they've been cruising along.

At least Scherzer is already over 100 pitches at this point...but it's not like their bullpen is garbage.

Those at-bats by Johnson and Hudson could prove big in this game. They took a lot of pitches with 2 outs. Against a guy like Scherzer it's hard to ask for much more from the bottom of the order. They probably bring him out for the 6th, but likely with a short leash and that would likely be his last inning. Gives the Sox a chance to get some runs.

Last night was the turning point. We are back to being their b****es.

Apparently we're back to Liriano starting against the Twins...

Even if we are tied, you'd almost rather go with Santiago at this point against Minnesota, rather than Liriano.

Except Francisco has the advantge of knowing all the weaknesses of his former teammates. But they know all of his trends and tendencies as well, and this would be the 2nd time he's faced them.

I hear driving in the City is tough because of all the picketing. Love those unions.

It would be nice to have unions. Rick Perry really doesnt care about education or teachers.

Man it feels like we are watching the same game night in and night out

Yep. No offense except for solo home runs. Decent starting pitching again but not deep into the game (cept for Q the other day).

The main difference in this game is the fact that 1) the Tigers have the best hitter in the AL who's super clutch, and their hitting with RISP and especially with 2 outs.

Whereas all season long, especially in the 2nd half of the season, we've given up a disproportionate number of runs with two outs.

I wouldn't be surprised if we led the AL in that category since the All-Star break. It has been uncanny. Hasn't mattered if it was a starter or reliever.

If Liriano was the answer last night, why is he not the answer tonight? Santiago is pitching well and it has worked out but the theory behind it makes no sense unless they were just pushing Liriano back and threw him yesterday to get him work which makes no sense either.

Anyway the pitching has not been the issue the hitting is abysmal and getting Hudson in there over Beckham is not helping matters.
