Why not pitch Sale on MONDAY?!

Thread over.

But in all seriousness it makes sense. Skip a start. Give him some needed rest.

At this point we need a win. I think it would be just as big a W if he could get it tomorrow vs. Minnesota. If Sale could shut down Minnesota and we win, 5-0, and Detroit loses, that's just as huge as whatever might happen Monday.

Just pitch everyone in order, get all the wins you can.

Ditto, wins are wins, we need them, sweep minnesota and get the swagger going.

Greg the Plumber approves both these messages.

Extra rest for what? There's 3 weeks left. He's your best pitcher. You start him on normal rest every time unless he is injured or needs the rest. Every time you give him more rest, it's another start made by someone else that isn't nearly as good as him.

See Strasburg. You also have to think about 2013,14,15,16.

2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 aren't guaranteed to give us this good of a chance at the playoffs. Playoffs are in reach now, so throw everything at that effort.

I say pitch Sale as often as you can in 2012. (within reason, obviously)

not much, just tired of seeing soft singles from our captain, hoping he can do a little more for the remaining 18 or 19 games.

and the fact that to opposing pitchers PK no longer seems to be a dangerous threat anymore. How many clutch situations were there where we really needed some runs........... has he come through without hitting some weak sqibber to the shortstop, or a lazy fly ball? the first half.............he was dangerous to the opposition because they knew that he was going to hit it HARD someplace. Now......solid hard contact out of him in key situations is horrible. If we are going to have a chance at this thing we need the PK back that we know him to be

If you skip Sale's start to put him Monday, then you have one less Sale start this season. And one more start from the Liriano/Axelrod/Santiago slot. Kinda need that extra win right now, so... pitch him tonight and get a W.

Would sale be in line for 163 if he moved back?
