southsider2k5
Chicago White Sox @whitesox Prior to tonight’s game at Minnesota, the #WhiteSox recalled RHP Jhan Marinez (“Yahn ma-REEN-yez”) from Class AAA Charlotte. Marinez went 4-2 w/ a 2.86 ERA (20 ER/63.0 IP), 4 saves & 65 K’s in 40 relief appearances w/ @KnightsBaseball this season. Marinez ranked 2nd among International League relievers in opponents average (.177) & 5th in K’s per 9.0 IP & baserunners per 9.0 IP. Marinez was also with the #WhiteSox from July 13-16, throwing 1.2 scoreless IP in his only appearance on July 13 at Kansas City.
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 01:06 PM) Marinez was also with the #WhiteSox from July 13-16, throwing 1.2 scoreless IP in his only appearance on July 13 at Kansas City. Start him in KC. He is our only hope to shut down the unbeatable Royals!!!!
IlliniKrush
Great, one more option for him to use in a high leverage situation...it's like a shiny new toy, should break it out in the 7th tonight.

Hopefully the SOX will be winning by 5+ runs.

elrockinMT
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 10:07 PM) No Morel. Interesting. If they can sign Youkilis how much you want to bet Morel is traded this off season?
Balta1701
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 05:48 PM) If they can sign Youkilis how much you want to bet Morel is traded this off season? I wouldn't trade for a 3b with a back problem who hasn't proven he's healthy. I could probably find 3 of those on the waiver wire.

Jake
Marinez has some great stuff. I think he'll be much better than Omogrosso.
Real
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 04:48 PM) If they can sign Youkilis how much you want to bet Morel is traded this off season? There were rumors a year and a half ago that the Mariners GM was high on Morel
caulfield12
That's all fine and good, but Kyle Seager has been very very good for them for most of this season. Morel has even less trade value than Thornton, Mitchell and Crain, for the moment.
