Dick Allen
QUOTE (BFirebird @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 03:03 PM) We aren't the only fanbase to say that. I think his demeanor just makes it seem that way. If you struggle and don't look like a lunatic people tend to think you don't care. This is a different year. He didn't care much of the time last year, and he didn't care much his final days in Toronto. There is no doubt he's very graceful and that will give an appearance he's loafing, but last year he did loaf, and Ozzie even pulled him for loafing. caulfield12
That's the slider he can't go to when he's behind in the count...or throw consistently. It's actually a tighter, harder breaking one than Addison's. Edited September 17, 2012 by caulfield12

caulfield12
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 02:05 PM) This is a different year. There is no doubt he's very graceful and that will give an appearance he's loafing, but last year he did loaf, and Ozzie even pulled him for loafing. For one game, when he basically had no choice with the media all over Rios and Ozzie on a daily basis about his putrid (at the time) OF play and overall lack of effort/concern. cabiness42
Most important game of the year and the Sox are winning because of Alex Rios' hustle and Adam Dunn's defense.

danman31
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 03:05 PM) That's the slider he can't go to when he's behind in the count...or throw consistently. It's actually a tighter, harder breaking one than Addison's. Jones has always had better stuff than Reed. The problem is he typically/historically hasn't controlled it anywhere near as well. That was dominant stuff right there though. The Tigers have 3 innings left. They're going to start to get desperate. Time to make them feel that pressure.
