Alexei and Viciedo just flat out sucked tonight. Manto has some work to do with both guys, as there were obvious mechanical flaws with each tonight.

Can not work with players that have no ability to adjust their swing or approach and neither have shown that they can do either, they are what they are.

Facing Chen is kind of like going up against a knuckleballer.

He will take you completely out of your offensive game if you let him.

With Dayan, he's young, although he has seen him multiple times and enjoyed success. With Alexei, veteran players should have learned by now, but he's always been a fastball first hitter and always will be.

Yeah, I want them to have a better plan at the plate. They have no concept of trying to shorten their swings and put the bat on the ball, regardless of the situation.

I've had enough of Tank.

I don't want to watch him play for another 5 years.

This is one of Viciedo's best months. Now we want him benched after one game. Every day it's a new paranoia. Wise suddenly elevated to godlike status. I like Wise but he's the guy on this team with a PH track record, and his slugging is due for a return to career norms

Do you trust him to hit Guthrie, Santana, Haren, Weaver, McAllister, Kluber and Masterson?

Kluber and McAllister, definitely.

Guthrie isn't really overpowering, but his control has been so good, he's been unhittable for the Sox.

The problem is how long can Wise continue to sustain this level before getting overexposed and regressing to AAAA/journeyman/waiver wire status?

Almost all of Viciedo's damage this month was against LHP (Diamond and Chen)

I really was counting on A's to do some damage.

Thankfully Tigers are mediocre on the road. Hopefully KC will be to them what they are to us.

The problem is they have a 10 game homestand and we go to LA.

At the end of the season, they're not playing good teams on the road, either. I don't trust the Twins, but maybe the Royals can beat them.

As far as benching Viciedo goes, what happens when Wise inevitably cools off and Dayan's rusty and cold from not playing enough? Who do we have that can hit then?

There's only a few more weeks of baseball. Maybe he realizes this may be his only chance at a ring and will give it his all. With Tank I'm not seeing much upside right now.

Viciedo's been just terrible vs RHP for a few months now. I'd rather take my chances with Wise hitting well the next two weeks than hoping Viciedo is all of a sudden going to start hitting righties consistently.

Just think how much in the doghouse he'd be if Rios didn't hustle and Prince wasn't bad on defense.
