Princess Dye
The Sox are still a team that has to look to develop a nearly-very-good talent when possible. That's Viciedo. You don't give up on one of your few guys that is both ready yet also has upside. Also September has shaped up to being his 2nd best OPS month of the year Edited September 20, 2012 by Jose Paniagua

chw42
Do Alexei and Viciedo think they can crush all of Chen's pitches? Because they swing at everything and they're all off-balance while doing it.
StrangeSox
why can they never, ever seem to figure out Bruce Chen? He is not a good pitcher.

caulfield12
So it seems CY CHEN is back. 90% of the time when you completely blow a no outs, bases loaded situation...you're toast. We'll see if they can scratch across a run or two. Cue psychologically traumatized fanbase to freak out about the next 4 games, Guthrie and at the Angels. Princess Dye
Viciedo is a power hitter. Instead of taking away his aggressiveness, I'd rather he just keep concentrating on pitch selection. As of late it's been better. Lets not completely reinvent a guy-- lets improve already-existing strengths. When pitchers start fearing him, and he realizes that -- that's when this current approach is going to pay off in a bigger way. caulfield12
QUOTE (RudyLawRules @ Sep 19, 2012 -> 08:52 PM) Time to sit Tanks azz. Although clueless on the base paths, at least D-Wise will give you more quality ABs. Viciedo is just killing us. That hot May of his seems like eons ago. We've scored ZERO runs against Bruce Chen. Maybe we should also bench the entire starting line-up, minus Rios and a couple of others. Wise isn't a good option against LHP. If it's better to play Wise against Bruce Chen (and all LHPers) than Viciedo, we might as well give up on the 2013 because we're doomed.
