Doesn't even matter, Gavin just ended the game and made it academic.

No need to call Viciedo names, it wasn't an easy ball to cut off with the backhand, and who really expected to beat Weaver in a must-win game for the Angels anyways?

Probably nobody....as evidenced by the dead gamethread.

dead game thread because it's football sunday.

No idea why Viciedo just hasn't been permanently benched (outside of facing LHP). He sucks at the plate and his defense has been awful of late as well.

Would it really even matter?

We were losing this game no matter what after we let Weaver off the hook in the first inning.

The only surprise is how far along Floyd got before imploding.

Baron was giving me a hard time for suggesting that we should bench Paulie, Youk and Dunn...

whatever man, we havent scored for weeks. We got swept.

Whats the worst that could have happened if we benched all our underperforming vets? We get swept?

Oh that happened any way

We should forfeit the remainder of the season. What an embarrassment.

What a strange feeling, going to those Indians games will be, for someone.

We could still be in first place by one game, the way we've been playing this week.

Hopefully momentum (big victory today over KC on the road) or karma doesn't exist, or the Indians will sweep us and get revenge for 2005 during the final week of the season.

I don't know. If the season ends like this....with these consistently atrocious performances, this offseason might be as equally depressing as last year's.

We are an awful baseball team right now, but what's funny is Detroit is just as bad. That 6th inning today was the worst I've ever seen defensively from a "contender". So who knows maybe we'll still be the tallest midget in the central

They won 7 of their last 10 heading into today.
