If the offense keeps this crap up for the next 10 games, it will be interesting if there's a scapegoat.

Manto, probably.

Can't expect Ventura to go anywhere, unless he just quits and decides it's not worth it after one season at the helm.

That's entirely possible.

Some of us here underestimated the Angles. Pronounced them dead, when this series had sweep written all over it.

They're just playing with a ton of energy/swagger. Given the offense going to hell for the Sox, this was a terrible match-up this weekend against a good lineup.

Just another hitless AB with RISP smile.gif

People are focusing on one awful game from Viciedo. The ones that hurt don't mean more than the ones that don't...and he has had a good September for his standards.

Fathom if you don't like what Viciedo just did...I don't know what we can say about your General Baseball Knowledge

But perhaps your smile is meant to clear you.

He's been awful against RHP for so damn long. I mentioned this the other day, but basically all his damage this month was off of Diamond and Chen. The problem is his focus in the outfield has been really bad this last week as well.

Put it this way....if the Sox feel like De Aza has to move to LF because he can't play CF adequately enough, I have no problem with the Sox using Viciedo (along with someone like Quintana) to bring in a starting 3b or starting pitcher, etc.

You just wonder how we're so damn bad with RISP. Part of it is regression back to the mean (since we were abnormally good early in the season), but that's not enough to account for most of it. These guys must be so uptight at the plate right now.

After over a decade of 3 manager changes, coaching changes, the constants are KW and some of the players.

The Sox are never bad enough to be crappy but never good enough to win.

no discipline, poor example set by our veterans...alexei, paulie, dunn, AJ, Youk all struggling.

That pretty much describes every team in Chicago besides the Cubs and the 2010 Blackhawks

This month is his second best OPS month. If your standards for Viciedo are gigantic that's one thing, but as for what he is..presently.. September he has been meeting that need. A slug-first player that basically gives you ONLY that.

Who isn't this time of the year in a playoff hunt. I still have suspicions the team has too many mental midgets.
