But I don't trust Ventura to get creative like that... we shoulda benched the hell out of these struggling vets a week ago but I feel like I'm beating a dead horse at this point. If Konerko had wrist surgery at the end of May and missed the rest of the season, I don't think the Sox would have been any worse than what's taken place. All of this is mental and approach-based. It has little to do with luck now. They've been far too awful for this to be bad luck.
