Marty34
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 30, 2012 -> 03:50 PM) I'm there with you, but at least this offseason I'm not rooting for Dunn to decide to retire. I'm going to be really upset if they decide not to get creative and overpay for Youkilis. Step one this offseason should be to get rid of whatever money they can for 2014 and beyond. Pay someone to take Dunn, Rios might be able to be moved, dump Ramirez.

They of course can't repay us the favor, but it doesn't even matter if we can't even find a way to win. flavum
The problem with Dunn and Konerko, is they're asking them to be 3-4 hitters, when they should be 5-6 hitters on a good team.

fathom
Dunn's OPS since the ASB is below .750. Outside of that big game on Monday, he's had 1 homer and 2 RBI this month.

Real
thank goodness I didn't waste my money on this team this year, don't regret buying my sale jersey though, if rios weren't so bad/decent/bad/good, I'd have probably bought a rios jersey too

Yep, I still think Rios could project as a very good #3 hitter next year if the team can find a decent #2 hitter. Sox #2 hitters must have hit around .220 this season. If not for last season, Sox fans would have been pointing to Dunn's year in 2012 as awful.
