GoodAsGould
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 04:27 PM) How the hell did Chris Davis hit 33 home runs? He's the O's second best offensive player. He always been a player who is super streaky, will hit everything for a month and nothing the next.

Ross
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 06:59 PM) He was under it. By the book its the right call. He called it a millisecond before the ball dropped. Also, it wasn't an easy trip to get out there, it was a long ways. Terrible call. whitesoxfan99
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 06:59 PM) He was under it. By the book its the right call. He was still drifting back on that and in no way should that have been called an infield fly.

zenryan
The infield fly is suppose to be called immediately. Not after the infielder runs 30ft into the outfield grass. Wrong call.
Leonard Zelig
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 07:05 PM) Nothing will come from this protest. Do believe that the call should have been made sooner?
IlliniKrush
The call cant just be made sooner. Its made when the requirements are met I.e. infielder there. The call can happen whenever.
Disco72
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 08:14 PM) The call cant just be made sooner. Its made when the requirements are met I.e. infielder there. The call can happen whenever. I've never been an ump, but all of the people on the TBS broadcast seem to think it was the wrong call. Are they wrong? Why? (not being a jerk, just asking) Also, why can't the call be appealed to the other umps? The 3B ump certainly didn't call it that way. Leonard Zelig
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 07:14 PM) The call cant just be made sooner. Its made when the requirements are met I.e. infielder there. The call can happen whenever. So if the infielder doesn't make an effort the call won't be made? That doesn't seem right.
