ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 19, 2012 -> 04:26 PM) People who like to point out holes in WAR use bWAR. Well yeah. I can't even count how many times I've seen people who oppose WAR (or pretty much all advanced statistics) say "ZOMG BEN ZOBRIST SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE MVP THEN. HE HAD THE HIGHEST WAR IN 2011!!!" And then when I remind them for the umpteenth time that no one uses bWAR, and fWAR is where it's at, they use that as a reason why WAR is stupid, because 2 different publications calculate it differently. It's a headache.

It's a headache. Explain it as the difference between Pendleton and Grande Canadian, or Grey Goose and Karkov, or Guinness and Old Milwaukee Light (or whatever). One has a good interpretation, one has a poor interpretation, but at the end of the day, they will both generally get the job done - one just gives a far worse headache than the other. chw42
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 27, 2012 -> 09:41 PM) For making the more intelligent decision? Why? Not sure you can call it more intelligent when the majority of the arguments for Cabrera by the voters are based around things like making the playoffs. Maybe the Tribune could apologize for declaring Dewey the winner already?
