pettie4sox
He might've just cost the team with that play.
Swingandalongonetoleft
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 10, 2012 -> 10:01 AM) Coco Crisp is taking quite a risk having a name that sounds like food and playing in the same park as Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera. Would have been much worse for him if his name was Cap'n Crunch and the A's were playing the Yankees. It's the small victories that count. pettie4sox
QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 10, 2012 -> 10:41 PM) It was dumb for Drew to try to get to third with no outs, but he would have been safe if not for the stupid rule that you can block the base before you even catch the baseball. That is a silly rule. Do you have to just run them over and hope they drop it? Drew would've been killed trying to truck over Miggy.

ChiliIrishHammock24
I'm rooting for the Tigers in this series, but it's also hilarious to see the Tigers defense and Valverde ruin them.

LittleHurt05
Even if the Tigers win game 5, that loss really hurts their chances to get to the WS. They had Verlander set to pitch game 1 of the ALCS and would be sure to use him 2 or maybe 3 times. Now he won't be available until game 3 and he might only get to pitch once before their season ends.

LittleHurt05
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 11, 2012 -> 07:25 AM) aaaaaw Papa Grande no dancy last night. so sad Easily my most hated player in baseball right now. I enjoyed this tweet about the 9th inning rally and Papa Grande's pitches Ray Ratto @RattoCSN This is not magic, by the way. It's a bunch of straight-as-a-strong 92-mph fastballs, which are infinitely better than magic.
southsider2k5
Matt Spiegel @MattSpiegel670 Valverde in 12 career post-season games: 0-3, ERA of near 7 in 13.2 IP. Pressure is a b****.
southsider2k5
Injury? Matt Spiegel @MattSpiegel670 So, Tigers beat guys and bloggers noting Valverde's completely new and unique mechanics tonight. Great spot to try stuff out, huh? #headcase
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 11, 2012 -> 09:06 AM) Matt Spiegel @MattSpiegel670 Valverde in 12 career post-season games: 0-3, ERA of near 7 in 13.2 IP. Pressure is a b****. 3 of those post-season games were against the Cubs in 2007 when he pitched 3 scoreless innings. Apparently beating the Cubs in the playoffs is that easy. MexSoxFan#1
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 10, 2012 -> 10:50 PM) That is a silly rule. Do you have to just run them over and hope they drop it? Drew would've been killed trying to truck over Miggy. Go in feet first and if Miggy doesn't get out of the way, bury the spikes in him.
