LittleHurt05
Only fitting that the Orioles finally make the playoffs again and the big, bad Yankees stand in their way. Camden Yards should be rocking tomorrow.
scenario
Why is the series starting in Baltimore instead of NY?
Swingandalongonetoleft
QUOTE (scenario @ Oct 7, 2012 -> 08:54 PM) Why is the series starting in Baltimore instead of NY? The altered format (2-3). Washington plays the first two in St. Louis, Cincinnati at San Francisco, Oakland at Detroit, and so on. I think it will revert to the standard format (2-1-2) next year. I don't think it's as big of a deal as some people are making it out to be. Both Wild Card winners were on the road, and Washington, Cincinnati, and New York (road teams) opened their series' with wins on the road. Swingandalongonetoleft
Wow, of course that was going to happen. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 10, 2012 -> 09:14 PM) Best part is he was PH for ARod. Camera couldn't have cut to A-Rod fast enough after the first one. If TBS did the U-Verse Multiview promo that Sox broadcasts have, two of the four shots would have be of A-Rod during that AB. IlliniKrush
Joe Girardi's father passed away, reports are he'll still manage tonight. Edit: TBS now saying he actually died last Saturday, when reports indicated he passed today. Edited October 11, 2012 by IlliniKrush
justBLAZE
O's wasting opportunities with RISP like they're the 2012 White Sox.

LittleHurt05
Last night they flashed a stat that Nick Swisher is 1 for 34 w/ RISP over his entire postseason career. That's just unbelievable, you would think that by blind baseball luck he could sneak a few bloops or seeing eye singles in there.

LittleHurt05
A-Rod is not in the lineup tonight. Chavez at 3b, Ibanez is the DH.

Swingandalongonetoleft
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 12, 2012 -> 11:40 AM) 29 MIL to not play in a playoff clinching game. I love it. Ibanez just drove in the first run of the game on a dribbler. O's need to stop messing around and end this circus team's season. fathom
Orioles insane decision not to hold on Teixeira might have cost them this game.
IlliniKrush
Weird HR replay. From the "normal" angle it appears it's easily on the wrong side of the pole, and disappears behind it. Then the other angle makes it look like it nicks it...but again, if it nicked it, the original angle makes it seem like it would have nicked it on the backside of the post, which isn't possible. Yeah, that made no sense. Not holding him at all, not even in the neighborhood.
iamshack
Happy for Ichiro. The rest of them I only happy for in that it makes the Tigers have to play 4 potential road games.
