Down goes Violentacrez

Apparently this dude posted some truly disturbing stuff - Brutsch admitted to being the Reddit user named Violentacrez, who created or moderated sections dedicated to pornographic and violent images, including subreddits called r/rapebait, r/incest, r/picsofdeadkids, r/jailbait, and r/chokeab****.

Why am I not surprised by photo?

I'm so confused with the story. Did he post pictures? Or did he just create those subforums for other people to post on them? I mean, being a dick online is no crime. Unless he was doing something criminal, I find it bulls*** that Gawker published his identity and that he lost his job over this.

I'm glad I am not the only person who was confused by all of this.

Reddit is basically the new Digg. It's just a bunch of stories upvoted/downvoted by the legion called the "hive mind". Don't go there for anything non-entertainment.

It's about 90% liberal / anti-apple posters who inject religion and politics into everything for no reason. If there is a negative Republican story out there, it's on page one, if there is a negative (even if its true) story about a Democrat, it will be buried never to be seen again, complete with misleading headlines. If there is negative stories about Apple, it's the same, only in their technology forum. For politics/religion/technology or serious discussion, Reddit is the bastion of stupid and mean.

The only thing it's good for is funny pictures/videos or pop culture internet news.

And yes, it's full of people like the dude that's the topic in this post. What's sad is this is just one of them...there are thousands of others EXACTLY like this guy out there on Reddit. Stay away from serious discussion on that place, it's futile, because you aren't even getting responses from people with any semblance of an education.

Never heard of it sounds like 4chan and that nonsense.

It's actually so popular, Obama did what's called an IAMA on there. Which means, I AM A . For example, I AM A PRESIDENT of the United States. Then you take questions from people, 500000 posts are made, and they answer 5 of them and leave. ;)

It's a very popular service, but unfortunately, it's 99% stupid people who think they're smart, mostly because it's young college kids, which of course, if you've ever been a young college kid you realize that when you were, you knew EVERYTHING about life, religion, politics, technology, etc. :D Only then you grew up and realized you knew next to nothing...and that was the whole point of college.

The Reddit hivemind is pretty much the worst thing ever. Mitt Romney is literally Hitler and athiesm is the path to true enlightenment.

Apparently this guy had a right to privacy but all those women in r/ creepshots and related subforums did not.

Exactly this. :D

His face matches his actions. Looks like the type of Internet tough guy you'd see on those forums. I have no doubt he's also milking his wife's "disability" for government assistance. If you had time to post that much on the Internet then you had time to work more and provide for your family. Instead you sat around, acted like a jag, and by the looks of it scarfed sacks and sacks of McDonald's.

As soon as i saw this title and i saw that it was posted by steve, i immediately thought it was going to be about RZZZA for some reason

Ha, I figured that's why I mentioned it wasn't him or greg in the sub.

Both, I think. At the very least, I remember from the Gawker article that he either created or moderated a bunch of the ones like that mentioned -- just creepy stuff. The most disturbing was "deadjailbait" or something...which was pictures of scantily clad dead teens. Basically, he would post some of his own, and then also moderate the content to make sure nothing technically illegal (ie, child nudity/pornography) showed up.

Shock of the century that this is the photo attached to a story like this. Stunning.

Although I do think it's BS that someone took the time to attach his name to whatever he was doing- if indeed it wasn't anything illegal.

Not familiar with Reddit either, but I would have thought some of those descriptions contrast each other.
