I mean, being a dick online is no crime. Unless he was doing something criminal, I find it bulls*** that Gawker published his identity and that he lost his job over this. Stay away from serious discussion on that place, it's futile, because you aren't even getting responses from people with any semblance of an education. At the very least, I remember from the Gawker article that he either created or moderated a bunch of the ones like that mentioned -- just creepy stuff. The most disturbing was "deadjailbait" or something...which was pictures of scantily clad dead teens. Basically, he would post some of his own, and then also moderate the content to make sure nothing technically illegal (ie, child nudity/pornography) showed up.
