southsider2k5
http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/jon-heym...be-their-closer The Los Angeles Angels are close to a deal with free agent righthanded reliever Ryan Madson, major-league sources told CBSSports.com. The deal is believed to be for one guaranteed year. Madson, from nearby Moreno County, was looking for a chance to close, and he should have that with the Angels. He missed the 2012 season after having Tommy John surgery.
southsider2k5
http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/mlb-dav...tension-112612- The standoff between the New York Mets and third baseman David Wright continues. And for the team, the risk is only becoming greater. The Mets offered Wright a six-year, $100 million contract extension on Monday, according to major-league sources. It is an offer that Wright is certain to refuse. Wright, who is under contract for $16 million in 2013, prefers a deal of seven years or longer, sources say. The Mets’ proposal offered Wright only a slight raise, and matched the terms of the Ryan Zimmerman and Evan Longoria extensions, the latter of which was announced on Monday. witesoxfan
I understand that from both perspectives. I honestly think Wright could probably get a deal in the 7/$140 range on the open market.

beautox
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 27, 2012 -> 09:07 AM) http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/mlb-dav...tension-112612- I wonder what it would take to trade for wright; he's 29 soon to be 30 and has one year and 16m coming to him in '13, I can see him getting 7/130. I feel bad for mets fans they need to blow it up and rebuild. Next time they have home grown talent like reyes and wright they should lock them up for considerably longer and earlier.
