Bighurt52235
Here's the dillio: I will be leaving PDX (Portland) at 8 Am Central, and will be arriving at O'Hare at 2 PM. Me and my mother will be staying at the Hyatt Regency. What is the best way uto get from O'Hare to the hotel, and from there to the ballpark. I would like to be at the field when the gates open, which is at 5, right? All of you meet in Lot E, right? If I were to go meet some of you, what should I look for? SnB
I can't help you out with how to get there, but the gates open at 5:30, not 5.

That doesn't give much time to watch BP, does it?
SnB
yeah i know, the sox are usually done and you can only watch the visiting team. The only time I've seen the sox take BP this year was during the sox-cubs game at the cell, don't know why.

BridgeportHeather
All of you meet in Lot E, right? If I were to go meet some of you, what should I look for? Yea, I should be at Friday and Saturday's games. If there are any meetings at all in Lot E, look for the crappers right in the front of the lot, nearest the ballpark, sort of near the sign that says "Gate 2." BridgeportHeather
As for getting to the ballpark...You might want to use the EL, as it costs only $1.50 a ride! Take the Red Line south to the 35th street stop, and you're there!

southsider2k5
http://www.transitchicago.com/maps/rail/rail.html Here are the CTA maps. You can board the blue line right in O'Hare and take it to within about 5 or 6 blocks of the Hyatt. From their you take the Red Line south to Comiskey. Wong & Owens
To get from O'Hare to your hotel, you can either take the Blue Line EL into the Loop, or grab a cab. The cab will be much more expensive, and it will take you much longer if you're talking about Friday. If you're coming in Saturday, then the cab will be quicker. To get from your hotel to the stadium, take the Red Line el train south to 35th. I can't remember where the Hyatt Regency is, so I'm not sure which stop is closest to you. Mathew
I found Chicago to be quite visitor friendly and the transit pretty straight forward. You will see at least 3 info booths at the airport on your way to the El Train. It's about an hour from the airport to the Cell if you only stop to change trains the one time you have to, so you won't be able to spend much time at your hotel I imagine. The one transfer is clearly marked and easily found. You should chat up any girls in Sox gear on the train anyways.

As of right now tomorrow we're in 107 (that won't change) and Friday in 158 (which may change depending on if the size of the group increases). Saturday we're in 159 row 1 (which will not change also). Check your PM, btw.

Take the Blue Line to the Clark Street Stop, walk about 4 blocks east to michigan, then a right about two blocks to the Hyatt. You get on the Red Line at the Washington St. Stop, which I believe is about 1.5 blocks south of Wacker, and 2 blocks west of Michigan at State Street. Harry Chappas
I'm not old enough to do bullpen bar. I'm still just 16. Better get your tix early for Friday and Saturday. Direction wise make sure you get on the train going in the right direction especially when leaving the park, I am not being a smart ass. Use 35th to get to and from the train in going/coming from the game and the 'EL'. Ask the hotel where the closest Red Line stop is (I think it is Grand but it may be State and Lake,) for the game. From the airport, take the Blue Line to State and Lake, it is about a 15 minute walk to the hotel. This is where Soxfest is, big place not much nightlife but at 16 who needs nightlife. How old's your mom, JUST KIDDING. Anyway the hotel is across the street from me and the 'EL' is close but it's a decent walk. The hotel will set up you with everything you need. I think the Rangers stay next door, hitch a ride with them. Tell em you know Johnny Oates.
