Time to revisit the 2nd Amendment?

You're acting as if it's a given that the government wants to kill us... which... ya know... aside from the Republicans scrapping the Sandy bill, is not the case.

You're funny.

Nah they dont want to kill us yet, but clearly the current administration and the past few before it have had a real lust for indefinitely detaining us.

What's going on in Mexico isn't genocide, but its pretty violent either way. Japan banned guns before they went on a warpath across East Asia slaughtering everything in sight.

so...banning guns doesn't lead to genocides and bringing up Nazi Germany's gun bans were pretty irrelevant then, right?

Japan banned guns in their own country (cite?) and then went to war with other countries. What's the causation there? That the US will go to war with other countries once we ban guns? That those other countries won't be able to defend themselves and will be slaughtered if there's a domestic US gun ban?

Yes you do, I mean I'm reading it right now. The State = God.

Were all powerless to stop it and instead of resisting it we should accept it into our lives. Its f***ing religion dude, stop deluding yourself.

Go organize a militia and attack some federal buildings about it. Until then, you're not resisting s***.

like we have no control over our own lives becuase why would we? That's what the government is for.

I know my contribution to social security is going up 2% without my having any say in it - how about you?

Have other countries with stronger gun control laws than the US done similar things to their citizens? If not, isn't that a blow against "guns protect our other rights?"

Ban guns -> Fascist government -> Lots of slaughtering by said government,

Other countries dont really fear their population because their people have all been brainwashed/bribed into the same kind of dogmatic worship of the state. We haven't gotten all the way there in the USA just yet, thank god.

They may not have graduating to killing (yet), but they're milling about with wealth redistribution and the liquidation of private property pretty methodically.

So, the UK is a fascist government slaughtering a bunch of people? More fascist than the indefinite-detention, major-operator-of-two-long-wars US? What about Canada? Mexico? Australia? Japan? Israel? All a bunch of fascist governments that are going to start slaughtering people (who??) any day now because?

fun fact: post-Civil War gun control proponents were largely whites trying to keep guns out of the hands of free blacks. The Black Panthers were also strong gun control opponents, and MLK had filed for a CC permit at one point, and this created a backlash of gun control support.

Israel and Mexico, to name a couple, dont necessarily have sparkling human rights records. Australia has been nasty too.

Dude, that's a point against gun control as far as I'm concerned. Historically, gun control has some pretty racist roots. Just like drug bans.

step back and realize when I'm actually bringing up something that's directly in your favor.

Here is an article from The Atlantic on the history of gun control:

http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archiv...of-guns/308608/

The Ku Klux Klan, Ronald Reagan, and, for most of its history, the NRA all worked to control guns. The Founding Fathers? They required gun ownership—and regulated it. And no group has more fiercely advocated the right to bear loaded weapons in public than the Black Panthers—the true pioneers of the modern pro-gun movement. In the battle over gun rights in America, both sides have distorted history and the law, and there’s no resolution in sight.

What an awful world they live in, where they don't have to fear getting killed by a gun. Those slaves to the state. The founding fathers would be rolling over in their graves if they only knew that democratically elected governments would someday reduce gun violence to nothing.

But don't you see, it's their gun laws that allow their fascist (?) governments to launch wars of aggression and to abuse the civil liberties of their citizens. Unlike in the US, where the government has a strong fear of its own armed population and therefore is less militaristic and violent.

I do find it funny that Duke is stating posters here as worshipper's of the state, while he takes the Constitution as the end all be all for gun ownership rights.
