Steve9347
QUOTE (SnB @ Jun 12, 2013 -> 02:16 PM) I had some minor water damage due to the last big storm in April. Now every storm that comes has me freaking out. Yeah. It sucks. Never feel comfortable again.
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (SnB @ Jun 12, 2013 -> 02:16 PM) I had some minor water damage due to the last big storm in April. Now every storm that comes has me freaking out. It happened 2-3 years ago after that 7 or 8 inches of rain in like 2 hours, I chalked it up to a freak storm. But yeah after April's smaller storm, I definitely worry about it every time it storms. Especially since the guy just put up the new drywall today, which would be a double kick to the nuts. Jake
I live about 100 yards from a river and our 80 year old house has never had flooding issues. A little luck with elevation, etc. and the house was built by the town's top contractor when it was built. Concrete basement, good gutters, etc. Hope our luck continues. Kyyle23
I lost HD signal on my directv for approximately 10 minutes. But I switched to regular channels and had no problems
Steve9347
Had a gorgeous HD signal all night. Meteorologists get paid to suck at their job most of the time.
Jenksismyhero
Yep, I never had an issue with DirecTV last night. I was also one of the few at Home Depot that walked away with a generator. They had pallets at the front of the store that had been stacked but were empty. Lots of people left empty handed. Now i'll have this gigantic box in my garage for the next 3 years and it'll never be used.
Iwritecode
My drive home was pretty uneventful. I drove through a few pockets of hard rain but nothing bad enough where my wipers couldn't keep up. The wind affected me a little bit when I started heading due north but I never saw any hail. I didn't even see all that much lightening. Jenksismyhero
Not really. The most severe weather spot was supposedly the northern half of western Illinois extending east. And that area really didn't have the worst of the bad weather. I'd say they were a few hundred miles off.
