As of today, I'm no longer a college baseball player. Got taken down by a kind of weird shoulder injury -- our training staff really doesn't know why I have it beyond "throwing is bad for you" and "you must have gotten it a long time ago."

I was lucky enough to get an excuse to stick around the team...I now will start doing play by play for our video streaming service for home games. I get a little money, a drastic reduction in time commitment, and I don't abandon a program that was good to me. Win win.

Ah, that's a pity. :( But, as said above, glad it's working out for you to a certain degree.

Snow makes satellite bad. :(

Get your ass out there and rub it off - I've now been a DirecTV customer for over a month. I haven't lost signal in snow, heavy rain, 3 inches of ice, nothing.

Last night when I got home from basketball to watch the Bulls/Blackhawks finishes, no signal. Apparently wet snow is a big problem. SO i went out there with a ladder and wiped it down and beautiful pic again.

And yea, when snow sits on your dish thats when you have problems. I just have a ladder in my garage and go out with a broom and sweep it off. Only had to do it twice in the 4 years I have been in Sleepy Hollow, both times in conditions like yesterday

One of the things I hate about working in customer service is that a member can write an email complaining about you, totally fabricate the facts and make stuff up, and to have a supervisor take it as fact without hearing your side.

I took some responsibility for the event that occured but it pisses me off that people just make stuff up and I have to take all the heat.

They really do a good job here to boost employee morale.

Its always fun getting lectured by a supervisor who has been caught leaving work while on the clock to go tanning and shopping at Kohls in the past.
