ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 03:42 PM) I thought he flipped and it surprised me that he still killed him. In his 30 second story, I kept going back and forth. Ha. At the beginning I was like "Alright, so what's his lie", and then was like "Oh now, he's bad again! You idiot!" and then I was like "Wait a second, this guy is the only one who knows the plan, he is probably letting him put his guard down, then he'll do something". Then the wideshot of the desk, then BAM.
ZoomSlowik
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 07:16 PM) GoT is around as long as there is book material. They are catching up to the books quicker than they are being written They could EASILY keep going with other stuff in the same universe but not in the timeline of ASOIAF. There's just tons of history he's built into the series. You could start out with a season (maybe more) with the leadup to Robert's Rebellion, which would still feature some familiar characters. You also have major stuff you could focus on like the Blackfyre Rebellion, Aegon the Conquerer, The Long Night, the rise or fall of Valyria, plus a ton of other stuff I'm forgetting. The only problem with that is a lot of that would need input from George and he needs to FINISH THE f***ING BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The show is the best thing that happened to him and the worst thing that happened to the continuation of the story

southsider2k5
The History Channel Bonnie and Clyde wasn't too bad. I liked Hatfields and McCoy's better, but this one was better than Gettysburg for sure. It is worth a watch.
Jenksismyhero
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 09:31 AM) The History Channel Bonnie and Clyde wasn't too bad. I liked Hatfields and McCoy's better, but this one was better than Gettysburg for sure. It is worth a watch. I've read a lot of criticisms about it, mainly involving the fact that they ignored the real history and/or just got it wrong. But I still plan on marathon watching it at some point. Anyone watch Black Mirror? I've read a lot of things about it over the last several months. Luckily DirecTV is re-airing them on their Audience network so I'm going to give them a shot. Honestly I don't know many details about it, as opposed to what I know about Gettysburg or the Hatfields/McCoys. Supposedly they made Bonnie the ring leader and there's no basis in history for that. I'm sure that was a creative decision to make her character more interesting/watchable.

Sonik22
Has anybody been watching American Horror Story this season? So far I think the story has been pretty decent and I like all the characters. One of the best shows on TV, hands down. I can only compare this season to the first since I caught onto the show late and watched season one on netflix and then have been watching season 3 from the start. Season 2 just got put on netflix to stream so I'll be starting that probably once this season is over.
Harry Chappas
SOA finished strong, still a tad confusing as to why something happened toward the end but still a decent show.

The 1st season and this season are definitely better than the 2nd season, though. I didn't think Season 2 was all that good.

Both of them started out pretty strong but sort of dragged on and lost my interest towards the end. For that reason, I decided to bail on the series. Harry Chappas
QUOTE (Knuckles @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 05:31 PM) Just caught up on the finale.. I can't believe no one here is talking about it. I'm stunned. Didn't want to post anything that could give something away. Connecting the dots the way they did at the end was bizarre especially the Unser actions, that was kind of stupid. Also not certain what Juices' motives were there or how Jax would allow him to have such a role. The Oakland/Stockton stuff looks like it will be good. The show really has not recovered from Opie's death, that was a bad move that proved nothing in the grand scheme of things except to eliminate one of the best characters on the show. The show has really become the life of Jax and is more of a soap opera. Losing all of the interesting characters (the finale, Clay, Opie) and then not replacing them with anything worth watching has really hurt the show. Iwritecode
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 09:10 AM) An extremely sad SoA finale. Was that season or series? Season, although Kurt has said that next season will be the last. He said (paraphrasing) that he knows how he wants it to and it might not be happy but it will provide hope. This finale obviously ensures that it won't be a "happily ever after" ending. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 09:49 AM) The show really has not recovered from Opie's death, that was a bad move that proved nothing in the grand scheme of things except to eliminate one of the best characters on the show. I really miss Opie and agree that he was one of the better characters but it makes me wonder how much different things would've turned out if he lived. I think his death was what really started to push Jax towards getting out of guns and possibly out of SAMCRO completely. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 09:49 AM) The show has really become the life of Jax and is more of a soap opera. Losing all of the interesting characters (the finale, Clay, Opie) and then not replacing them with anything worth watching has really hurt the show. That's always what the show has been about IMO. We see and learn more about his life and background than any other character on the show. Nero isn't exactly a replacement for Clay or Opie but I've liked the addition of him. Can't wait for next season to start now.

"You can't leave, your car is boxed in," oh, I'll leave my keys here and go to the bathroom for you. That was dumb. I don't think he thought she was feigning illness as a decoy. I am growing weary of her character, she's next on the chopping block if you ask me.
